Benefits of Online Therapy
Perhaps the most obvious benefit of online therapy is the ability to access therapy support from a convenient location eliminating travel to the counsellor's location. This is an immense benefit for homebound, rural, or just plain busy people. From first time Mom's struggling with the transition with Motherhood to busy office executives crunched for time online therapy offers a choice of clinicians with expertise that may or may not be available in their community at often a more convenient time and location.
SkypeTherapy
Skype counselling is the closest to traditional face to face therapy where client and therapist choose an agreed upon time and length of session. For example: Tues, June 4 at 12:00pm PST length 50 minutes cost $120 per session.
If you chose this method of counselling you would initiate contact by emailing me: [email protected] and I would send you Terms & Conditions of Online therapy and my skype contact information. You can ask me questions and if comfortable schedule an appointment.

Text Therapy

Text therapy format that I use is called asynchronous text which formy practice means once the initial Terms & Conditions are agreed therapy is done weekly with one long message sent from you and a long response from me with perhaps one - three shorter clarifying emails a week. The cost is $120 weekly.
The benefits of text therapy include by the action of writing a client is reflecting on their words and behaviours and so in a sense this in itself is therapeutic - by revising and reflecting one could argue is more beneficial than an arbitrary time constrained conversation in a counsellor's office. Another unique benefit is having the therapist's words in writing and having a record of what helpful information. Research is giving text therapy a two thumbs up with clinical studies finding online therapy as or more useful than traditional face to face counselling.
